“JAMES! Get out of here,” yelled a very angry Lily Evans.
“Hey! You can’t throw me out they’re my dorms too,”
shouted James as he was being magically thrown out.
At that James started to survey the corridor outside the Head Boy and Girl’s
dorms. Of course, when he had thought about his and Lily’s date for Valentine’s Day, he hadn’t figured on
it ending with him shoved out in the hall. All the yelling had started when a very much in love James decided to do
some holiday decorating, for the day of love. Thing’s had gone well when he had started the “Plan.”
(Flashback)”So what’s the plan, James?” That was the
sweet Lily of that morning, he thought.
“Since we’re allowed into Hogsmeade, I was thinking about taking
my favourite Head Girl out. Of course it’s her turn to decide where we go and what we do.” (End Flashback)
They had spent a wonderful time in Hogsmeade. For lunch, Lily had just
wanted to stop at the Three Broomsticks, where they had chatted with Remus and his girlfriend, Violette, and eaten lunch with
them. Then James dragged her into Puffs & Stuffs (an all-around novelty shop selling wizard and muggle things alike).
Lily found a beautiful stag charm with a matching doe charm. He got both with chains to put them on. James gave Lily the stag
and kept the doe. She thanked James and practically ran outside. When he got outside Lily wrapped her arms around his waist
and pulled him into a dark alley, where they snogged each other senseless. Then they went to the Shrieking Shack and …never
mind that part. James had taken Lily back to the castle where he had bargained with the houselves and took Lily to a secluded
balcony close to the Astronomy Tower. There he treated her to a candlelight dinner courtesy of aforementioned houselves.
It had all gone perfectly. They walked back to the dorms, and he conjured
a red long stemmed rose for Lily. When they walked into the Head’s dorms and witnessed her reaction (e.g. throwing
objects, yelling, and basically total mass destruction); his first thought was “I should never have turned her things
pink…”
